Henryk is a competitor in the sport of Canicross and is the first dog in NACC history to earn the Champion Gold Canicross Dog (CHGCD) title! He has completed numerous races in distances ranging from sprint to half marathon. Henryk (with Lara Mahr) ranked #15 in the International Sled Dog Racing Association standings in Women’s Canicross for the 2022-23 season.

Henryk is trained in firearms detection and has completed multiple police tracking seminars. His offspring have performed well in law enforcement and private security.

Henryk is registered with the American Kennel Club, Canadian Kennel Club, and United Kennel Club.

Henryk’s pedigree is mostly Czech working lines.

Henryk has a short stock coat that is Sable in color with dark pigmentation. He only carries genes for a stock coat. His genotype for coat color is AW AT which means he carries the dominant gene for sable and the recessive gene for bicolor.

Henryk has the following health testing:

• PennHIP score of 0.38 in the Right hip and 0.25 in the Left hip with no DJD or cavitation present
• OFA preliminary x-rays with results of Good hips and Normal elbows
• OFA final x-rays with results of Good hips
• CT scan to test for elbow dysplasia (necessary due to injury/fracture after OFA preliminary x-rays were taken) with results showing no signs of degenerative joint disease
• Elbow x-rays deemed clear of degenerative joint disease by a Board Certified Veterinary Radiologist and a Board Certified Veterinary Surgeon
• OFA normal results for basic cardiac, dentition, eyes, patellas, and thyroid

Henryk is genetically tested through Embark. He is not affected by any of the diseases tested for but is a Carrier for DM.

Henryk has excellent ball drive and loves to work. We are NOT accepting stud requests for Henryk.
